SFU’S Certificate in Dialogue and Civic Engagement 
We engage with dozens of complex issues in our organizations and communities today. In this part-time professional program, you’ll gain theoretical knowledge and practical tools and strategies for increasing public participation, handling conflict, and generating creative solutions to complex issues.
Through a series of nine courses and a practicum you’ll learn from expert instructors and professionals who work in non-government organizations, business, community-based organizations, labour unions, First Nations, Aboriginal organizations, Crown corporations, health agencies, and various levels of government.

Application deadline for the September 2013 program is June 28. Please note that space is limited and we are reviewing applications as we receive them, so we encourage you to apply early. 

Aboriginal Pre-Health Bridge Program – Accepting Applications for fall 2013.
This bridging program encourages and equips Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) high school graduates and mature students to pursue and succeed in a variety of health careers. In this eight-month program, students receive an orientation to health career options, encouragement and support, and academic credits towards an undergraduate degree in science and/or health sciences.

The Aboriginal Pre-Health Program is a full-time bridging program that takes place over two semesters at SFU Surrey. The next program runs from September 2013 to April 2014. Graduates of the Aboriginal Pre-Health Program earn both academic credit and conditional acceptance to SFU.
