Vancouver Society of Storytelling AGM

2910 St. George Street

11:00am -1:00pm (with snacks and stories to follow)

Dear VSOS members and interested individuals!

Here at the Vancouver Society Of Storytelling (VSOS) we are happy to report that we have had a full and prosperous year.  At the 2013 Annual General Meeting we will highlight some of the past year’s successes and provide entertainment in the form of stories and clowns. …YES it’s true!

Our AGM will be a casual and fun event. It will afford you the opportunity to contribute to the VSOS, get to know the workings of the organization and board as well as meet other VSOS members. We will also be voting on our current and new directors and, as an existing (or about to be) lifetime member, not only are you eligible to vote you are highly encouraged to do so!

We hope you invite friends and family who you think might be interested in joining as a member or as a board member. We are a hard working group… but trust us working hard was never so fun!

We are currently looking to fill the following board positions: Treasurer, Communications Coordinator, Fundraiser and Membership Coordinator.

Returning board members include: Woody Morrison, Erica Booth, Julia Lane and Donna Chen.

Many creative and innovative opportunities will be presenting themselves in the coming year, not the least of which is developing the vision and programming for the 20th Vancouver International Storytelling Festival, slated for June 2014.

For those of you that are unable to commit your time to the VSOS please consider supporting the org. through making a monetary donation (donations over $25.00 will receive a tax receipt). Our organization’s livelihood relies on your generosity. It is an exciting time to be part of the VSOS, don’t miss out!

The location of our AGM is the Mount Pleasant Family Centre – 2910 St. George Street. It will take place Saturday March 30, 2013 from 11:00am- 1:00pm. Coffee, tea, refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

Feel the excitement in the air!
