Note-takers needed for City of Surrey Community Summit

We would like to share with you an exciting opportunity to gain experience supporting public dialogue!

With the support of SFU Public Square, the City of Surrey is hosting its inaugural Community Summit for residents to discuss ideas, learn how to become more involved in their community, and gather information about important topics related to the city.

We are seeking 7 skilled note-takers to support the delivery of this event, taking place April 6th from 9am to 4pm at SFU Surrey (next to Surrey Central Skytrain Station). Note-takers will record key points at two roundtable dialogue sessions, and will have the opportunity to interact with City of Surrey planners and decision makers, citizens and leading intellectuals. In addition to gaining valuable experience supporting civic dialogue, note-takers will have the chance to network and hear keynote presentations by Gordon Hume and Jason Roberts. Lunch will also be provided.

If you are interested in volunteering as a note-taker for the City of Surrey’s Community Summit, please e-mail Jackie before March 28 at jpichett@sfu.ca

The SFU Public Square Team
