Having Your Say in BC’s Health Care System

SFU City Conversations and Public Square present:

Having Your Say in BC’s Health Care System
Thursday, February 7, 2013  12:30 pm
SFU Harbour Centre, 515 W. Hastings Street, Room 2270

Consumers and consultants?

Can patients help re-design our healthcare system? Will providers and administrators listen to the patient voice?  Should patients have a say in improving healthcare in BC? Despite the challenges, more and more patients and their families are saying “yes” and participating in decisions that are significantly changing our healthcare system. Find out how you too can become involved in some made- in- BC examples of citizen engagement in health.

Peter Toppings and Christina Southey, representing ImpactBC (administrator of the Patient Voices Network), will talk about what they’ve learned at the tables that count.

Kimberley Strain will speak of her experiences as an engaged patient. Then it’s your turn to join in the conversation.
