SFU Public Square Presents – Alone Together: Connecting in the City

SFU Public Square is hosting their first Community Summit September 18 to 23.

The theme is Alone Together: Connecting in the City.  There are six days of events targeted at different audiences within the region.

Three events that will be particularly fun and interesting are:

1.      Tuesday September 18th Opening Night at the Orpheum.  In addition to four great TED style speakers, the band Bend Sinister, and the spoken word poet Shane Koyczan (who opened the Olympics) will be performing.  Tickets are $15/ $5 and can be purchased at http://www.eventbrite.ca/event/4213592970?ref=ebtnebtckt

2.      Thursday, September 20th Urban Conspiracy Cabaret.  This night of comedy, music and entertainment will be MC’d by Charlie Demers and Richard Side (founders of the Debaters) and will be held at the Woodward’s Goldcorp Centre for Arts Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at: https://www.2mevents.com/index.php/event/urban-conspiracy-cabaret/store

3.      Friday, September 21st Extraordinary – Rain City Chronicles. This is a night of storytelling when we shine the spotlight on the amazing people who have been building connections in our community in unique ways.  Tickets are $15 and are available at: http://extraordinaryraincity.eventbrite.ca/
