This week we are featuring an update from alumna Raissa Dickinson. All alumni are encouraged to submit short bios on their current activities, which will be featured on the new Centre for Dialogue website, and potentially featured in posts to the alumni blog and Facebook page.
Raissa Dickinson (Fall 2010: Energy) is currently in her second year of the Masters in Public Health program at UBC. Raissa’s interest in public health is underscored by the concept of reciprocal maintenance as a means to take care of each other, our communities and the natural environment. Raissa is inspired by the holistic approach to health shared by many First Nation communities. Her ambition is to incorporate the community as the essential voice in matters of its health, including health promotion programs and policy. Raissa enjoys travelling, spoiling her niece and nephew, and hosting dinner parties.
For instructions on how to compose and submit your own bio, see our earlier blog post.
