Debts appear in many areas of our lives. Whether they are financial, moral or environmental, we are all involved in relationships of debt in different ways. However, when it comes to paying them back, what does it take and when does it end? To answer this question, SFU’s Dialogue and Public Issues class will host an engaging discussion that will bring together community and professional voices. This event is for everyone who wishes to gain and share insight on current and past issues related to debts and the often difficult process of paying them back.
Themes that will be explored include: ‘Self-Forgiveness and “Paying Dues,”’ ‘When a Community is Wronged,’ ‘The Relationship Between Humans and Animals,’ and ‘National Debts- Whose Responsibility?’
Please save the date for ‘Life After Debt: A Public Dialogue on Forgiveness, Justice and Revenge,’ for the afternoon of July 23, 2012 by registering online here. Also make sure to like us on facebook and follow us on twitter
