Restore and Reconnect

On the one-year anniversary of the June 15, 2011 riot, Vancouverites are invited to come together to acknowledge the outpouring of community spirit that re-defined our city and to think about what’s changed in Vancouver over the past year. How are we all different? And, where do we go from here?

Be re-inspired by viewing the messages of hope on the boarding that lined damaged businesses a year ago (8 plywood boards will be on display at Christ Church Cathedral from June 14 – June 17). Celebrate how Vancouverites came together to heal our city. Engage in dialogue about reconnecting and restoring a sense of pride in belonging.

The Display will be open:

Thursday, June 14: 7:30am to 3pm
Friday, June 15: 9am to 3pm*
Saturday, June 16: 9am to 1pm
Sunday, June 17: 8am to 9pm

Celebration of Community Spirit*

A non-denominational community gathering on Friday, June 15 from 12pm to 12:45pm with music, remarks, dialogue and viewing of the messages of hope.

Christ Church Cathedral (690 Burrard at West Georgia)

Supported by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association.
