Free Lecture “Homo Sapiens: How do we do this? SFU Burnaby

Dr. Heesoon Bai, is giving a free public lecture “Homo sapiens: How do we do this?”—at SFU (Burnaby Campus) on Thursday, March 29, 4:30pm, followed by a reception.

Click the link below for more details.

The lecture will focus on what is unsustainable about the ideals of modern humanity, and how the hegemonic aims of education and what defines an ‘educated person’ contribute to the problem. She proposes an “axial shift” in the aims of education: from knowledge acquisition to wisdom cultivation based on an embodied understanding of unity (integrity) between thought/action, self/other, and the human and natural world.

Feel free to join!
