West Coast LEAF is currently recruiting facilitators for our two youth education programs. We are look for men and women between the ages of 18 – 24 who are interested in learning about the law and educating others about their rights!
West Coast LEAF’s goal is to achieve equality by changing historic patterns of systemic discrimination against women through BC-based equality rights litigation, law reform and public legal education. Our two youth workshops are entitled No Means No and Youth in the Workplace; these workshops educate youth about their legal rights and responsibilities that arise in the particular dynamic of intimate and workplace relationships. Youth facilitators will provide workshops to youth between the ages of 10 – 15 on the topics of consent, sexual assault, workplace rights, sexual harassment and discrimination.
Youth facilitators can expect to:
• Get in-depth training on the curriculum as well as presentation and classroom management skills.
• Gain valuable experience in workshop development and presentation
• Learn about Canada’s legal system, legal rights and public legal education
Youth between the ages of 18—24 are encouraged to apply!
