First off, we’re looking for an exceptional individual to take on the role of international programs director. Working closely with the executive director, the successful candidate will be in charge of strategic direction on international programs through 2012.
We’re also looking for a replacement for the extremely talented and hard-working Aileen Doyle, jhr’s resident fundraiser and event planner extraordinaire. After three years of dedicated service to jhr, including raising more funds via our direct mail campaigns and at our annual Night for Rights fundraiser than ever before, Aileen will be leaving us in 2012 to pursue a career in acting. We will miss her terribly. However, at jhr we know that change is good. We are keen to tap into new energy, talents and skills, in order to take Journalists for Human Rights to the next level in 2012.
Lastly, we are in need of a technology specialist to replace Jonathan Wong, who will be leaving the organization in December to start another company with co-founder Ben Peterson. This absolutely vital staff member will play a key role helping ensure our servers are humming smoothly and our computer systems are in the best possible shape, thus enabling our head office program managers and overseas staff to exchange information securely, easily and efficiently, without fear of tech meltdowns, hack attacks or other such problems.
