The apple doesn’t fall far from the bee. That’s right – the bee. Come join EYA beekeeper Alaina Thebault to explore our connection to pollinators, discuss why bees are in trouble, discover how this affects our food source and learn how you can make your community more sustainable by supporting local and native bees.
Topics that will be covered: Why bees are so important, what kinds of bees you can have in you can have in your garden, pollination: the real art of attraction, whether bees are in trouble and how YOU can help! We may take a walk through the Burnaby forest to seek out our resident pollinators– weather permitting.
