What is CityStudio?
CityStudio aims to be an energetic hub and center for sustainability education in Vancouver by creating the world’s most innovative inter-institutional campus-city collaboration for learning and implementation of urban sustainability strategies.
We will bring students, faculty, experts and City staff together for learning and action on long-term real-world sustainability projects in Vancouver. The project and course work emphasize sustainability leadership, social enterprise, education of change managers and the development of green business.
We are looking for 20 students to form 2 cohorts for CityStudio Year One.
The fall cohort will bring 6 credits of independent study to engage in “Demonstrating the Future” and the spring term will gain 15 credits in the intensive Semester in the City.
Fall 2011 – Demonstrating the Future – Who is eligible?
Students must qualify and register for a minimum 6 credits of Directed Studies, Practicum or Independent Study at their home institution.
Students from Langara, SFU, UBC, VCC, BCIT and Emily Carr are welcome to apply. Credit Transfer will be negotiated on a student by student basis. Please come with a good relationship to your advisor. Great education opportunity for all dialogue alumni!

This program is full-time 9:30-3:30 Monday- Friday to gain 15 SFU credits (DIAL 390W, 391W, 392W). Students from all 6 participating schools are eligible. Applications will be accepted starting September 1, 2011 – deadline September 15, 2011. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by October 15, 2011.
